IPL Skin Rejuvenation is a great way to get your skin looking plumped up, vibrant and healthy looking. The light energy from the IPL burst of light heats the water in the skin causing minor vaporisation. This small trauma to the skin causes the skin to react by producing collagen and elastin that helps treat tired skin, pores, fine lines and loss of elasticity. The treatment is a short burst of light that feels like a sharp warm flick on the skin which post-treatment feels like a minor sunburn.
It is important to try to keep the skin cool post-treatment and the use of topical aloe vera gels or ice packs can aid in this process. Follow up treatments can be performed monthly as required, we recommend a series of 3 treatments to get your skin looking its youthful best.
